Judging the International Property Awards

The International Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. An International Property Award is a world-renowned mark of excellence.

Brian was part of a panel of more than 50 well-respected experts from a range of complementary backgrounds, volunteering his time to assist in the selection and judging process.

He assessed properties in the Middle East, central Asia and Africa, looking for those outstanding elements that make an interior world class.

Two stunning apartments in London

Apologies for the lack of recent news updates. We’ve been busy working flat out on two stunning new interiors projects, both located in Central London.

The first is a five bedroom private apartment in Marylebone, where we have not only carried out the design and complete refurbishment of the property but also overseen the installation of underfloor heating and air conditioning.

The second is another complete refurbishment. This time a five star rental apartment in the beautiful, tree lined streets of St John’s Wood. This is a turnkey project, meaning that we’ve specified every last thing from the light switches in the brand new LED lighting system through to the toasty underfloor heating which will keep the ceramic floors warm throughout the coming winters.

We'll be adding more photos as these projects come to fruition over the next month or so.

Airbnb debut

Here are some pictures of Brian's recent project, an Airbnb property in Kent. The look is country chic minimal, the design maximises space and position and the overall effect is a comfortable, functional, family-friendly interior. If you ever find yourself in Four Elms, near Chartwell and Hever Castle, do check it out.

Brian visits Siberia

Brian Lawrence and fellow British Institute of Interior Design member Nadya Ruvinsky were recently invited by hosts Sib Build to give a presentation on British interior design, trends and product innovation in Novosibirsk, Siberia.

This was a wonderful opportunity for both of them since Siberia is a highly developed area, both culturally and economically and many new attractive property developments are underway.

The presentation profiled four key British companies; Parker & Farr, Decorus, KAAJ and Jacaranda, who all supported this project. They were met with an enthusiastic response by interested commercial parties, property companies and designers. The Russian press were also there, and the event had radio and TV coverage.

As a result of this success, Brian and Nadya have been invited back next February to give a larger presentation.

Brian talks to Think Bigger about the advantages of using digital printing in both his interior design work and collections. From applying digital prints to china to recreating unique replicas of out-of-print, antique wallpaper, it’s become an important part of his everyday work.
